Shipping towel bags

Today is a great day, because we can finally settle our debt with you by sending the ZC3-Towelbag. Currently we are still busy making the packages, at the end of the week they will be sent to the post office.

The towelbags will be sent to all those who have actively selected the towelbag in the registration and have an address in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy or France in the registration. For the teams, the team captain will receive the package with the request to pass it on to the team members.

In case you didn’t notice all the trouble and hype about the towelbags and want an explanation, we will briefly describe the situation:

2 days before the Zurich City Triathlon 2022 we were informed that the towelbags would not be delivered. A strike and lack of staff at the port of Hamburg resulted in our towelbags being stuck on a container ship for over 8 weeks with no docking facilities. We tried to find a solution by bending and breaking. Without success and without any concession from our suppliers and their forwarders. They even wanted to charge us surcharges. With the support of lawyers, it is now possible for us to bear the additional costs for packing and shipping the towelbags in order to make the shipment possible.
