Various institutions and organisations work together to ensure that a sporting event like the Zurich City Triathlon can take place. The aim is to minimise the restrictions and impact on local residents and the general public. However, this cannot be completely avoided. We therefore kindly ask for your understanding, support and cooperation. Thank you very much.
The organiser has received the relevant permission. The traffic concept, including all closures and diversions, has been developed in close cooperation with the municipal and cantonal police. For safety reasons and to ensure that everything runs smoothly, it is necessary to follow the instructions of the police, traffic cadets, volunteers and organising committee.
On this page you will find all information about road closures, diversions and access routes. Thank you for your support.
The Zurich City Triathlon 2024 will take place on Sunday, 23 June 2024. Over 4,500 participants will swim in various starting blocks at different starting times throughout the day in Lake Zurich in front of the Landiwiese/Badi Mythenquai, cycle from the Landiwiese around the Zurich lake basin to Küsnacht and run from the Landiwiese to Badi Utoquai. As a result, there may be road closures, longer waiting times and diversions at various points between 07:00 and 19:30 on Sunday, 23 June 2024. We ask for your understanding.

The above-mentioned roads are completely closed to traffic and public transport. It is also not possible to drive onto or off them. Crossing the routes is possible on foot at certain passages in the form of guided crossings. It is advisable to avoid the closed roads as far as possible.
Triathletes usually have their heads down and only look forwards briefly to maintain the most aerodynamic position possible on the bike. Top speeds of up to 50 km/h can be expected on the flat.
A vehicle or a passer-by on the route can therefore have fatal consequences.
Please follow the instructions of the police, traffic cadets and our helpers. We want to avoid accidents! Help us, be careful!
If you have any urgent questions regarding traffic information or noise emissions before and during the race weekend, please contact us on +41 76 701 96 93. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you as a spectator, participant or helper at the Zurich City Triathlon.
